[but he is definitely working the counter today! as usual, the cafe is pretty quiet, and right now the only person there is Lu-- Akira himself as he wipes down the counters, dressed in his cute li'l apron and. . . huh. no glasses today, actually. interesting!]

[he looks up when the bell rings, his standard greeting dangling on the tip of his tongue, but--]

[he tips forward at the same time, bumping foreheads together with a shuddering inhale, before he mutters, voice low]

[eyes closed, drawing in his own slow breath. rubbing head into that nice, missed, but still familiar touch

his response is just a purr followed by tipping his head to the side, rubbing their cheeks together]

[uuuugh weak, weak, weak, so weak. tilting his own head into that nuzzling, eyes slipping shut. stupid counter in the way, preventing him from dragging his favorite hyena into a tight embrace. but. . . in a way, this is nice, too]

[scritching continues even as Lupin lets out a small, breathless laugh, mouth curving into a bright grin]
